ELEMENTARY School

The primary curriculum used for English Language Arts is the ABeka curriculum, which is a comprehensive academic program with a strong foundation in phonics and grammar.

Gateway Academy’s instructors incorporate best practices in teaching literacy using a wide array of literature and trade books to enrich the program.

ABeka is also used for Social Studies and Science.

The Association for Christian Schools International curriculum is used for both Mathematics and Bible instruction.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

The ABeka and Prentice Hall Literature curricula are used for English Language Arts.

The Passport Series published by McDougal Littell is used for Mathematics.

Life, Earth and Physical Sciences and Old World History and U.S. History for Social Studies are taught using the Pearson/Prentice Hall curriculum.

The Bible is the primary text for developing a Biblical world-view with our students. Biblical curricula such as ACSI, ABeka, and Positive Action for Christ are incorporated to extend our students’ understanding of the Bible.
