Gateway Academy's Center for the Arts offers the highest caliber of artistic education so our students may achieve their fullest potential as academics, artists and leaders. Center for the Arts has grown to be a highly sought after school on Staten Island for those wishing to enhance their music and acting skills with seasoned instructors.


Elementary students have Art and Music classes, along with Percussion Marching Band and Chorus.
Middle School and High School students have electives in Art, Fashion Design, Theater, Photography, and more. 

 

After school private and group lessons are available for students every school year in areas such as guitar, piano, voice. Other programs offered are GA-TV Studio Club, American Sign Language Club, Zumba Kids, Art Club and a Dance Team.
(Offerings may change from school year to school year.)


Additionally, a needs-based tuition support program is available. 

Major performances take place during Christmas and Spring that attract over1000 ticket holders
from all over New York City and New Jersey.

Extracurricular Programs

Gateway Academy offers a wide variety of electives and after school programs to complement the academics. 


Extracurricular programs run during the school day and others after school.
Programs include Student Council, Chess Club, Summer Math Enrichment, American Sign Language Club, Spanish, Computer Science, Art, Music, Physical Education, TV Studio Club, Sports and Performing Arts.


Programs may change per school year at the discretion of Gateway Academy's administration.
